How Much Can A Bad Credit Report Cost YOU?

With over twenty-five percent (25%) of the credit reports containing errors serious enough to result in the denial of credit and an alarming seventy-nine percent (79%) of all credit reports containing errors of some kind, how do consumers know whether their report is accurate? “It is outrageous that inaccurate credit reports could damage 1 in 4 consumer’s ability to buy a home, rent an apartment, obtain credit, open a bank account, or even get a job,” Ed Mierzwinski, U.S. PIRG (Public Interest Research Group) Consumer Program Director stated in a recent report.
